Iowa Cultural Corridor Alliance Names New Executive Director
The Board of Directors of the Iowa Cultural Corridor Alliance (ICCA) has named Abby Ballain its Executive Director. She replaces Joe Jennison who resigned in May after four years with the organization.
American Legion Convention to be held in Cedar Rapids
The 92nd Annual Convention of The American Legion, Department of Iowa, will be held July 16 - 18, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Fireball Run Charities Confirmed; Registration Deadline Approaching
One of the largest transcontinental motoring events in America, Fireball Run is a nine day, 18-city, 3,500-mile "adventurally." The 2010 American Heroes Challenge begins in Henderson, Nevada on September 23 and ends in Galena, Illinois on October 2. Cedar Rapids was selected as an official over-night, "Destination" city for this one-of-a-kind event and will play host to the over 150 participants on October 1 and 2.

The National Horseshoe Pitchers Association (NHPA) World Tournament will be held at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena July 26 - August 7, 2010. The NHPA World Tournament will be hosted by the Iowa Hawkeye Horseshoe Pitchers Association and the Cedar Rapids Area Convention & Visitors Bureau.
