ICCA announces 2008 Innovative Excellence Award Nominations
The ballot contains award nominations in 11 categories and will be voted on by the member organizations of ICCA. The results will be announced live during the Iowa Cultural Corridor Alliance Annual Meeting and Innovative Excellence Awards (aka The Ickys!), on Monday, Jan. 26. The formal-but-fun, red-carpet event will be held at the Englert Theatre, 221 E Washington St., Iowa City, beginning at 6:30 p.m., and will include 12 live performances.
The evening will begin with a dual reception from 5 to 6 p.m. at both the Iowa Artisans Gallery (207 E. Washington St.) and the Chait Galleries Downtown (218 E. Washington St.).
"This has been a challenging year for the area's cultural community," said Joe Jennison, Executive Director of ICCA. "This year it's more important than ever to come together, show support and celebrate the Cultural Corridor -- the cultural heart of Iowa and a major contributor to the state's great quality of life."
Tickets to the event are $20 and are available now through the Englert box office at (319) 688-2653. The official ballot containing the following nominations will be distributed to the 149 member organizations of ICCA this week.
