Local Organizations Team Up to Present Cedar Rapids Area Environmental Film Festival

Sixteen local organizations are teaming up to present the Third Annual Cedar Rapids Area Environmental Film Festival. Film screenings will take place at various locations during the month of October and all events are free and open to the public.

The films that will be shown during the festival will include a wide variety of environmental topics from local foods to sustainable building and famous environmental figures. There will be something of interest for everyone! A complete listing of films and events can be found below.

Presenting organizations will also be taking part in the Downtown Farmer’s Market on Saturday, October 3 from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Stop by our booth in Green Square Park on the corner of 3rd Avenue and 5th Street where staff members from participating organizations will be available to tell you more about the festival, as well as answering any questions you may have.

All of the participating organizations would like to thank Mercy Medical Center, Mediacom, and the President’s Fund of the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation for helping to make this festival possible.
