Nationally designated trail offers the beautiful scenery of the Indian Creek Nature Center’s 210-acres of natural preserve. Hiking, nature study and cross-country skiing.


Cedar River Trail
Extends from the corner of Collins Road and Center Point Road NE, through downtown Cedar Rapids to Kirkwood Community College. This asphalt surfaced trail runs over 12 miles and is 10 feet wide. It is open and maintained year round. Enjoy the sights and sounds of urban wildlife along McLeod’s Run, Cedar Lake and the Cedar River.

Exit #25 off I-380 at Boyson Road in Hiawatha. 52-mile trail built on a former railroad bed connects the communities of Cedar Rapids and Waterloo. Biking, hiking, nature study and cross country skiing. Southern 3 miles are asphalted.
