Following breakfast and a brief recap of FY12 accomplishments, the CRACVB Annual Meeting will feature guest speaker, Greg Edwards. Edwards was recently named chair of Destination Marketing Association International, which represents over 700 destination marketing organizations (Convention and Visitors Bureaus) worldwide. As a travel industry executive, Edwards has led convention and visitors bureaus in Illinois, Kansas and Iowa. He has been in Des Moines since 2000, leading the area during the construction and opening of a new downtown convention center and revitalization across the area. His program will include insights into the tourism industry and how his community has embraced tourism as an economic driver.
Attendees will have the chance to tour the newly opened National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library and the chance to win a roundtrip ticket on Allegiant Air!
