Built in the 1920’s, the Paramount Theatre is a performing arts center in downtown Cedar Rapids. Severely damaged in the Floods of 2008, the Theatre is undergoing extensive renovations to return to its original grandeur and will reopen in late 2012. This multipurpose venue is suitable for symphony, theatre and opera performances, organ recitals, community productions, film showings and community gatherings.
