Transportation

Cedar Rapids is a great place to visit in Iowa. And our excellent transportation options make it easy for you to travel here.

The Eastern Iowa Airport (better known as CID when you’re booking a flight) is a convenient option for traveling in and out of the Cedar Rapids area. It’s conveniently located just north of Interstate 80, right off Interstate 380.

Connecting flights are a snap. And if you’re driving, Cedar Rapids is located just five hours from several Midwest hubs, including Chicago, Minneapolis, Omaha, Kansas City and St. Louis.

Once you arrive in Iowa, it’s a cinch to get around. Cedar Rapids and our surrounding towns are all located near major highways and you’ll avoid the stress of navigating larger cities.

You’ll find plenty of parking in our downtown area and Park Cedar Rapids offers great information on their website. Our downtown area - including the New Bo and Czech Village neighborhoods - are all pedestrian friendly and easy for walkers to navigate.
